Lagoon Point is a neighborhood that embodies a nautical lifestyle. Boaters have easy access to Admiralty Inlet, which allows them to sail to Port Townsend, Deception Pass, the San Juan Islands, and points north and south in the Puget Sound. This rare style of a planned community used to be a large salt marsh before developers pushed earth around, dredged, and carved out a canal from Puget Sound down to finger canals lined with floating docks and gangways connecting them to backyards.

You can find this centrally located neighborhood on the coveted west side of Whidbey Island on the southern edge of Greenbank.

Originally a salt marsh lagoon, developers in the early 1960s dredged the area to create canals that allow for private boat storage. Homes built on the bluff 200 feet above Lagoon Point’s canals enjoy breathtaking views of Admiralty Inlet and the Olympic Mountains. The neighborhood features two boat ramps, floating docks, a jetty, bulkhead, a beach, and a bridge.

Located on south Whidbey Island, Greenbank, Freeland, Langley, and Clinton are nearby as well as South Whidbey State Park and Meerkerk Gardens. Clinton is home to the ferry that sails to Mukilteo providing a connection to the mainland.
