An island getaway, Dugualla Heights provides a rural, hidden-away atmosphere while providing easy and convenient access to the highway and the services offered in Oak Harbor, Coupeville, and Whidbey Island Naval Air Station (for people in the military). Located next door is Dugualla Bay State Park, which offers hiking trails and a quieter atmosphere than its counterpart at Deception Pass State Park, which is also nearby.

Residents enjoy breathtaking views of the bay the mainland and Mount Baker. Dugualla Bay Heights is a beachfront community located west of Dugualla Bay State Park and is an excellent example of how Whidbey’s marine, rural and natural features co-exist. Highway 20, which is located minutes away thanks to a quick drive on Frostad Road, provides access to Oak Harbor, Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Deception Pass, and the mainland. Located in the Strawberry Point/Silver Lake area of north Whidbey Island, residents will enjoy small farms and equestrian opportunities. Being next to the base, residents will enjoy the military jets taking off and landing from the airfield. Dugualla Bay Heights also has a beach and a boat launch. A clubhouse is available to the residents, which helps add to the neighborhood charm of the beach community. A neighborhood website, www.duguallabay.org, offers a snapshot of the nuts-and-bolts issues residents are trying the resolve while enjoying life on north Whidbey Island.

In addition to two state parks within driving distance, a popular farm stand features farm-fresh food and other treats are located on Highway 20 near Dugualla Bay. The Frostad Road intersection with Highway 20 is located around halfway between Oak Harbor and Deception Pass, which will take drivers to the mainland. Traveling south on Taylor Road will provide access to the small farms that have sprouted in the Strawberry Point/Silver Lake area of Whidbey Island. In addition, a couple of equestrian facilities, notably Wildwood Farms, provides a wealth of services for people interested in the equine lifestyle.
